We have always accepted briefs from public bodies such as the Legal Aid Commission of NSW, Aboriginal Legal Service, Office of the Public Defender and Office of Public Prosecutions at the appropriate set fees relevant to the preparation and purpose of the particular report. Fees sometimes also apply for additional time required for reading when extensive documentation is supplied or for travel expenses and court appearances.
Preparation of reports for private clients is charged at a rate appropriate to the type and complexity of the report, the length of time involved in preparation of the report and the practitioner briefed to conduct the assessment. In some cases the circumstances of the person requiring the assessment are taken into consideration and a reduced rate negotiated if deemed appropriate. This is always discussed and agreed prior to commencement of the work and a written statement of cost will be issued for acceptance.
Payment for private and office appointments is preferred at the time of the appointment. We accept cash, electronic transfers or cheques and have facilities for electronic payments at the office.
