Lucie joined Duffy Robilliard Psychologists in 2017 and has been preparing reports for criminal jurisdictions. Since completing the Master of Psychology (Forensic) program with UNSW in early 2014, Lucie has practiced within a public health setting providing treatment to offenders in community court diversion programs. She has sound experience with criminal problems and co-morbidity including personality disorders, mental health disorders and the array of social/environmental issues pertaining to recidivism risk and public health. Lucie has comprehensive knowledge of services and treatment pathways available to assist with offender rehabilitation and associated strategies for reducing harm to the community.
In particular, Lucie has a special interest in drug and alcohol addictions, having undertaken her honours thesis project in the neurobiology of alcohol seeking within an animal model, and her masters thesis with adolescent binge drinking using diffusion tensor brain imaging. Having contributed to research projects for the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre and collaboratively with NeuRA, Lucie seeks to contribute to the profession through research.
Lucie has undertaken extensive training and supervision in schema therapy. She is adept at using schema therapy in the formulation and treatment planning of problem behaviour, as well as applying schema treatment strategies in forensic settings.
