Preparation of reports for private clients is charged at a rate appropriate to the type and complexity of the report, the length of time required to conduct the assessment and the practitioner who accepts the brief. In some cases the circumstances of the client are also taken into account and reduced rates may be arranged. This is discussed and negotiated prior to commencement of the work and a written statement of agreed costs will be forwarded.
Payment is preferred at the time of the appointment. We accept cash or cheques and we have facilities for EFTPOST, EFT and credit cards.
We have always accepted briefs from public bodies such as The Legal Aid Commission, Aboriginal Legal Service, Office of the Public Defender and Department of Public Prosecutions at the appropriate set fees relevant to preparation of reports, travel costs and court appearances.
